About Natalie B is typical twenty something, going out too much, spending too much, whilst counting calories and trying to quit smoking. Having spent 4 years working in PR in London's west end, Natalie passion for constant chatter lead her to hospital radio in Epsom, where she gathered momentum to step into the real world of radio. With stints at County Sound in Guildford and Bright 106.4 in West Sussex, August 2004 saw Natalie B's first full time radio gig, co-presenting the Brighter Breakfast at Bright 106.4. After six months, the early starts began to take their toll and with a non existent social life Natalie started to look around. Originally from Nottingham, Natalie entertained a journey back to the Midlands, but Brighton's relaxed vibe and seaside views were to tempting to refuse and in April 2005 Natalie B was given her first solo show at Juice 107.2 . April 2005 - March 2006 saw, Natalie B presenting a magazine style show covering a whole range of lifestyle topics from fashion to fine wine. Having moved to Brighton in April 2005, Natalie B took it upon herself to get to know the ins and outs Brighton had to offer, enabling her to bring a showcase of Brighton talent to the airwaves and has developed her interview skills to get even the most nervous of guests to relax in front of the mic and sometimes spill all. Natalie has kept busy, chatting to some of the top UK bands such as Franz Ferdinand, Stereophonics, The Strokes, Belle and Sebastian as well as a wide array of Brighton based talent - Danny Sullivan (Irregular Choice Shoes), David Samuel (Rare Kind Gallery ), Gresham Blake ( Brighton based tailor ) as well as more well known names such as Alexi Sayle, Antonic Carluccio and Jason Donavon who was debuting in Brighton in his role as Sweeny Todd. Natalie B has a very relaxed on-air persona and is more than happy to share her rather hectic lifestyle, with stories about sneezing whilst plucking her eyebrows to repeatedly getting caught out each time the clocks go forward or back, allowing listeners to paint their own picture. She keeps pretty busy learning martial arts and playing the drums… but not at the same time!!.. May 2006 saw Natalie home town to Nottingham after being away for a decade. For a year and a half, Natalie B was a lady of the night at Heart 106 in the East Midlands, presenting The Late Show. From 10pm-1am Natalie B would be chatting to anyone and everyone, but the streets of London beckoned. September 07 she descended back down South. Natalie B is now back in London town in attempt to penetrate the London airwaves with her subtle tones and sometimes sharp wit – but general banter and entertaining anecdotes. You can catch Natalie B on air from Sunday 14th October 7-10pm |
